Before I Lie: Facing the Artist in the Mirror in collaboration with Lyricality In-Person
Before I Lie is a structured writing residency centered on poetry, voice, identity, and self-reflection. Through a series of workshops running from July to October 2026, participants will explore writing as a tool for truth-telling, healing, and creative expression.
Facilitated sessions will take place at the St. Cloud Library and will be led by Dralandra Larkins alongside guest teaching artists, including award-winning poets and Minnesota Book Award finalists. Participants will engage in reflective writing practices designed to support both personal development and artistic growth.
The residency will culminate in a public showcase in October at St. Cloud State University, where participants will present original work developed throughout the program.
