Charlie Maguire: Going to Bartalina: Songs and Stories of Great Lakes Sailing
Join COMPAS artist and songwriter Charlie Maguire for an unforgettable afternoon of music and storytelling inspired by life on the Great Lakes. Drawing from rare firsthand experiences aboard working vessels, Maguire shares authentic songs of shipwrecks, sailor life, and deep-water adventure. The program also features Gordon Lightfoot’s “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” and a preview of Maguire’s new Going to Bartalina album. This program will be held at the Monticello Senior Center, 505 Walnut Street. For all ages. This program is made possible with Arts & Cultural Heritage Funds from Minnesota's Clean Water, Land, and Legacy Amendment.
