Going to Bartalina: Songs & Stories of Great Lakes Sailing
Join COMPAS artist and songwriter Charlie Maguire for an unforgettable evening of music and storytelling inspired by life on the Great Lakes. Drawing from rare firsthand experiences aboard working vessels, Maguire shares authentic songs of shipwrecks, sailor life, and deep-water adventure. The program also features Gordon Lightfoot’s “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” and a preview of Maguire’s new Going to Bartalina album. For adults/teens. This program was made possible with Arts & Cultural Heritage Funds from Minnesota's Clean Water, Land, and Legacy Amendment. For all ages. No limit. No registration required. Cosponsored by the Cold Spring Area Historical Society and the Cold Spring Friends of the Library.
