Rock Wrapping Art Class In-Person

Rock wrapping has it’s origins in the Japanese art of Mizuhiki, but has been adopted by many cultures around the world.  It is especially popular where smooth rocks are collected near rivers and lakes, making it a perfect art form for Minnesota! We will use rocks from the shores of Lake Superior and a variety of cords to wrap and tie beautiful patterns. Each student will make 3 or more wrapped rocks to take homeRecommended for ages 10 and up.

This program was made possible with Arts & Cultural Heritage Funds from Minnesota's Clean Water, Land, and Legacy Amendment.
