Minneapolis Textile Center Presents: Intro to Knitting In-Person
Learn how to hold and maneuver knitting needles, cast on stitches, knit with the knit stitch, and bind off. Progress through the purl stitch, basic increases and decreases, and cabling (for motivated students). Gain the foundational skills and vocabulary needed to knit many beautiful designs and forms in the future (beyond coasters!). This workshop is for true beginners, though intermediate knitters may also find benefit in learning and practicing new stitches. Participants must have dexterity in their hands to be able to knit, but Instructor will also discuss ergonomic modifications to make knitting easier. For ages 16 to adult. Limit 15.
