Oil Pastel Painting Inspired by the Florida Highwaymen In-Person

In the early 1950’s through the 1980’s a group of twenty-six African-American artists known as the “Florida Highwaymen” used vivid and bright colors to display the beautiful untouched Florida landscape. Escape to the library this winter to create your own tropical oil pastel painting. Participants will learn different techniques to layer and create an oil like painting. For adults. Registration required.  Limit 15. This program was made possible with Arts & Cultural Heritage Funds from Minnesota's Clean Water, Land, and Legacy Amendment.
