Wet Felted Wool In-Person

Cultures around the world use wool in many ways.  Felted wool is especially durable, and can be used for a variety of utilitarian and artistic purposes. This is an introduction to the art of wet felting.  Using a bar of soap and wool roving, participants will create a decorative and functional wool “washcloth” around the bar of soap.  Students will also have the chance to wet felt around rocks and around plastic eggs to make wet felted pouches. For all ages. Limit 20. Registration required.  This program was made possible with Arts & Cultural Heritage Funds from Minnesota's Clean Water, Land, and Legacy Amendment.
