Folk Remedy at the Farmer's Market

Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and enjoy the sweet haunting music of Folk Remedy at the Annandale Farmer's Market. Guitar and violin accompaniment to vocal harmonies characterize this 3-member folk ensemble. From traditional Welsh tunes and American folk songs to new takes on familiar and beloved tunes of the past and present.

Monroe Crossing

Named in honor of Bill Monroe, “The Father of Bluegrass Music,” Monroe Crossing dazzles audiences with an electrifying blend of classic bluegrass, bluegrass gospel, and heartfelt originals. Their airtight harmonies, razor sharp arrangements, and on-stage rapport make them audience favorites across the United States and Canada. The performance is part of the ACT Summer Concert Series in the Annandale City Park. All ages welcome.

The Big Fun Show!

Everyone loves fun, The Big Fun Show is great entertainment for the whole family. It's comedy, juggling, magic and modern vaudeville, a one-man circus performed by Mr. Fun himself, Dave Walbridge, and is incredible fun for everyone. The whole family can enjoy this performance as part of the South Haven Days Celebration - On the grass by the Methodist Church, 12:30-1:30. This is a Legacy funded event.

Simply Basket Weaving

When: Saturday, August 03, 2013 - 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Where: Great River Regional Library - Annandale

Recycle, reuse, and learn a new skill. Local artist Amy P. will instruct participants on the art of simple basket weaving using newspaper. Amy has created baskets using a variety of materials. In this two-part workshop she will show you how to prepare your newspaper materials and teach you the weaving techniques to make a basket of your own. Each participant will need an awl or a long, skinny, flat-tipped screw driver, and a wire cutter (not the pliers kind). Limit 15. Ages 15 to Adult.
