RF Bruce the Bug Guy

Displays of unusual and spectacular insects from around the world, combined with a variety of LIVE insects, spiders, scorpions and millipedes give participants a truly close-up and unique look at the amazing and hidden world of insects and arthropods.

RF Balloon Twisting

When: Thursday, June 20, 2013 - 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM
Where: Great River Regional Library - Rockford

Participants, ages 8 and up, will learn the basics of twisting balloon animals, hats and other shapes. Each participant will bring home a selection of twister balloon, a single action balloon pump, and an instructional handout with resources. Please call the Rockford Library to pre-register. RF Music and Moore

Drama for elementary age students, grades 1-3. Carol Moore will lead the students through an interactive and interpretive retelling of a story using singing, dancing and acting. Participants will weave a figure on a cardboard loom. A pattern will guide in weaving hair, skin, clothing and details to make a 2 dimensional woven person. RF Pastimes from Times Past

Come learn about kids toys, games and toothbrushes of the 1800's with this Digging into History program hosted by Rebecca Mavencamp. She will read from 10 year old Florence Stork's diary and provide a show and tell of toys and other artifacts from this era.

RF Polkas You Can Dig
