Local bicycle experts will help children of all abilities learn traffic rules and regulations, the potential hazards to traveling, and handling skills needed to bike and walk effectively, appropriately and safely through the community. Includes the ABCs of Bicycle Safety, the parts of a bike and proper riding attire (including wearing a bike helmet), as well as how to safely cross the road, traffic laws and responsible riding techniques, how to communicate with pedestrians and vehicle drivers, riding with attention to details such as scanning, stopping and proper positioning on the road.
