Making syrup from the sap of maple trees has long been a springtime tradition in Minnesota. CSB/SJU Professor Stephen Saupe will provide an overview of the history of maple syrup, why maple trees produce sap in the spring, how to make maple syrup at home, and how to judge the syrup you make.
