A reading and discussion program: Join us for a series of reading and discussion programs based on the books "March" by Geraldine Brooks, "Crossroads of Freedom: Antietam" by James McPherson and "America's War: Talking About the Civil War and Emancipation on Their 150 Anniversaries", edited by Edward L. Ayers. Participants can check out copies of the books at their local Great River Regional Library branch in advance to prepare them to participate in the conversation. St Johns University professor and Civil War scholar Dr. David P. Bennetts will lead the discussions, and provide additional insight.
