End Time: 9:00 PM
Long time Minnesota folkies Pop Wagner and Charlie Maguire, and bluesman Tony Glover, come together in a rare collaboration to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Woody Guthrie’s birth with a musical tribute to the songwriter. Guthrie's songs are a part of American folk music history and are celebrated by Maguire (guitar, vocals and harmonica), Wagner (guitar, fiddle, and vocals), and Glover (French harp and vocals). Consummate musicians who have performed nationally, at the Minnesota State Fair, and on Prairie Home Companion, the trio will bring to life Guthrie's music. The group prompted Minneapolis Star Tribune writer Jon Bream to write: "Unless Bob Dylan were to crash the party, you could not find a more apropos trio...to celebrate Woody Guthrie's birthday."Library: Great River Regional Library - Long Prairie Map
