Description:
 Travel on coach bus to the Forest History Center near Grand Rapids, Minnesota for the annual REAL Horse Power Event! Draft horses and oxen provided the power for Minnesota’s logging industry long before mechanized equipment was invented. Real Horse Power features horses at work demonstrating the traditional tasks such as skidding, cross hauling and jammer loading. See draft horses up close and talk to the teamsters. Bring your camera! Bring your own lunch for the noon meal in the picnic shelter and any snacks you may want. A one-hour guided group tour will be available for those that wish to attend. Children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The bus will leave Upsala Area Schools parking lot at 8 a.m. for an arrival time at the Center near 11 a.m. The group will leave the Center at or about 3 p.m. to arrive in Upsala at or near 5:30 p.m. Registrants must ride the bus to participate in this trip.
